2012 Fiat 500 Abarth New Car Photos Specification

2012 Fiat 500 Abarth, special edtition car of fiat will be launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The Italian automaker said that the U.S. version of the 500 Abarth will sport a new 1.4-liter MultiAir turbocharged four, but did not disclose any information on performance figures new 2012 Fiat500 (Cinquecento), the new Fiat 500 Abarth is designed for track-day enthusiasts and driving-purists who want the ultimate high-performance small car with the pedigree of an exclusive Italian exotic. The 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth’s front fascia is a lot of pronounced and pushed 2.7 inches (69 mm) prior its signature “whiskers and logo” face, recalling the Abarth stylistic treatments from vintage 850 TC and a thousand TC models.

According to Chrysler and Fiat engineers, our built-in-Mexico 500 Abarth will meet tougher U.S. crash standards. The European Union doesnt require that vehicles meet a rear crash standard, and the U.S.-spec 500 Abarth will ride over a superior rear axle design based on the one developed for the so-called NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) 500 and run with a more powerful turbo engine featuring Fiats Multiair valvetrain.

Even without final specifications, we can assume that our 500 Abarth should be quieter than the EU version, as the NAFTA 500 has more sound insulation designed into the structure. Lets hope they dont tune out too much of the engine note.

The 2012 Fiat 500 Arbath engine supported by 1.4-liter turbo produced 160 hp at 5,750 rpm and peak torque of 170 pound-feet at three grand and expected to produce 175 horsepower. With double overhead cams and standard fuel injection, the engine emits a fantastic growl. An electric version of the 500 will arrive at the end of 2012, and Fiat promises to produce 5400 of these in the first full year of production.
